Wind Rain and Government Money

Well it is the long weekend and the weather is CRUDDY!!! Windy and cool. We drove out to where my mom and her boyfriend were supposed to be camping in his camper but could not find them or catch them on her cell. Luckily Esther is coming up today so we get to have a guest. Always nice.
Yesterday Karyn came by and spent the evening with us. She and I went out to Boston Pizza with Emanuel for dinner and then watched Sheerluck Holmes and the Golden Ruler. (Veggie Tales) We had her bring Taco Bell from the city (Ken loves the stuff and we cannot get it here in town).
Thursday my mom was over, she and I took the boys downtown to get the decorations for Emanuel’s Baptism (I like to get everything done eary LOL). That night we had corn on the cob – peaches and cream type – so good, we made it in the steamer so we didn’t have to heat up the house.
Here is some of the best news of all – yesterday we got a big chunk of money from the government !!! Now all we need is our GST back. PROGRESS!!!!!!
Now all I need is a little more sleep at night and a little less sceaming during the day – YAH RIGHT!

HOT HOT HOT

It is so very HOT HOT HOT… poor Emanuel is eating sporatically and resting fitfully.. oh for some air conditioning. I think we are going to have to use the money my lovely Great Aunt sent us to put towards an air conditioning unit. We also need to splurge and get the air conditioning fixed on the van. Right now my pc says it is 31 Celcius!!!! Too much.
I did get a decent picture of all three of my lovely boys this morning when it was still cool. But otherwise have not accomplished much. Oh – Ken got me quarters and I got one load done… and tonight is our twin group which should be fun.
Oh for a cool breeze that would come right through this place – or a basement to go and sit and relax in….

Post Mother’s Day Heat Wave

It is HOT HOT HOT out today. I just got back from my eye appointment – after 3 years only minor changes YAY so I do not need to get new glasses for the little I use them. The Optometrist suggested a different brand of contacts to try which I like better already.
Poor Emanuel has been fussy today, not sleeping for very long at a time, so when Ken came home to get us for the appointment I had him put the fan in the sliding door next to the bassinet to cool this place down.
For Mother’s Day we spent the day at home playing games and relaxing. For dinner Ken got a whole chicken and KFC gravy and coleslaw YUM. Along with the cards from the boys I got a Terry’s Chocolate orange YUM YUM. All in all a great day.
I got wonderful pictures with each of the boys and then all together (below are some of the best). I am one lucky Mommy
