Pull Ups!

I started the boys on pull ups today! And we already had a successful pee in the potty AFTER they peed in the pull ups but still 🙂 We clean off the potties and they get to chose which they want to use – Gavin likes our double, I gave them each a book and put Emanuel in the jolly jumper to keep him from shoving the boys off the seats and Zander peed in the potty and this time IN not all over the place – see mommy learns and puts the pee guard up hehe. Gavin will have to have a towel in his lap as the double does not have one.

So I am not pushing it I talked about the pictures that fade and that any time they just need to tell me PEE or POOP or POTTY 🙂 and then we all gave 5 and called daddy 🙂

So it is a start!! Though I need diapers for bedtime and forgot to buy some – thank goodness my mom has a few at her place and can bring them by after work since Ken is working late tonight (of course!!). I guess they will wear their brother’s size 3’s for nap since everyone is a wee bit off today and they really need one – we are packing in the activities since we can’t go outside, so far we have played with play doh, ran around in the livingroom, did puzzles, peed on the potty and now are playing leggos 🙂 well for now… in about 10 min Emanuel will have to be "put away" in one of his stationary toys since he likes to follow along behind and destroy what the boys make 🙂 oh well he gets his treats and his Baby’s First moves or signs video and is pleased as punch 🙂

Even with all the fighting and the stress of being inside I am feeling like a successful mom today!!! YAY

Repairing from the Long Weekend

We got our chairs! 6 lovely pine (I think) kitchen chairs… nothing fancy but new and matching. We are going to get something alot more expensive once we replace my dad’s old table. I also managed to pick up the floss I was short for a couple of projects, Emanuel some new onesies and two piece pj’s and Ken even stopped off and got some D & D stuff. We even drove around the area we would like to buy in and wrote down some numbers for Ken to call today.
The weather has gotten nicer today, the boys and I managed to go out and send our two letters and then play in the grass. Even Emanuel got up and walked around on the grass and played with the sticks that feel off the trees. It was a little breezy and cool but the boys had a blast. We came home and the twins played leggos while I cooked their nuggets and fries. We have to put Emanuel in one of his stationary toys when they play leggos since he gets right in there and undoes what they have been working on.
I found out last night that friends of ours (who will remain nameless until they tell more people) are pregnant with their second! That brings my total up to 5 baby gifts yet to make. I have made some progress on Christmas stuff and even did a birthday gift over the weekend. I am thinking I need to get another magnetic bracelet or ring to help with how achy my wrist and thumb have been from all the sewing. Probably need to get some more sleep. Or have the twins actually LISTEN to me! They are such stubborn 3 yr olds!
The rest of the week should be pretty relaxed, I need to fax the government with updated bank info. They have some account that my bank does not even recognize. Luckily the government waits til I fax their information and then tries to withdraw so it will not be seen as late and make me unable to finish the process with the loan reduction. I am still waiting on the paperwork for that one.
So much to do it feels and so few hours… I am working on Isabella’s Christmas gift then back to my mom’s, in the meantime I have two cards to make for baby gifts and all the thank yous for the twins’ party, scrapbooking for Emanuel to do (mother’s day, birthday party and James’ visit)… as well as I need to sit down and cut more material for future projects. At least I am starting to master my french knots! And I must admit it IS fun!
It is pretty neat – at Ikea yesterday Emanuel wanted to drink milk from a carton just like his brothers and then had some in a straw cup like the twins’ water cups when we got home! Course this morning nothing but it is definately a start!

May Long Weekend

Well the May long weekend has not been perfect weather – Saturday was rather blah but today was better. Yesterday we took the whole family and had our photos taken… We needed a family 8X10 for Ken’s work as well as a 5X7 of just Ken. I used the polo shirts I had gotten from Old Navy on Mother’s Day and jean shorts, Ken wore his grey dress shirt and I wore one of my old flowered tops (the dress I had originally chosed would not fit with my non-supportive nurding bra dangit). Zander cried as soon as we put him up on the table but we did coax smiles out of Gavin and Emanuel and Zander did not look too much like he had just finished crying. Amazingly enough we got a picture of all 3 kids together, one of the twins together and a cute one of Emanuel in his "I’m Not a Girl" onesie! I love my discount card! We have really used this last one alot. Now I just have to wait til June 6th to pick them up!
Tomorrow we are on our way into the city to purchase kitchen chairs! We are FINALLY replacing our old ones my mom had given me when SHE replaced hers! Yikes!! I am really looking forward to having something a little more sturdy than our well worn chairs.
I have basically gotten my student loan payments figured out – mom and I are going downtown next Monday to allow me to easily pay my first payment to RBC, rent and our payment on our storage unit – here’s hoping it is our last month?? I can dream right? I am applying for the loan reduction so fingers crossed we will get a nice chunk taken off on top of everything – that just means I can NEVER get another school loan – not that I would – I go back I go back with the money in hand.
I am actually getting excited about the idea of buying a house even though it cannot be on our own! Getting out of this apartment would be a dream come true for all of us… we could even get our own lawn!!! What fun the boys would have with a safe spot right out in front of the home! Ken and I plan on driving past the town we wish to buy in tomorrow and see if we can find out what the prices run to. It is funny that life is actually improving so quickly and we are starting to have some actually options! Isn’t life interesting?
Hmm nothing else new really, the kids are growing like weeds and the twins are using TONS of words, though still delayed for their age – Emanuel is adding new words at least every week now as well as copying his big brothers all the time. A little frustrating but it is so cute watching him toddle on along behind. My baby is growing up!!!
