Christmas Pageant!

It has been a good, if rather frigid, day today. Today was the twins’ very first true Christmas pageant. They were dressed up as angels and sang Away in a Manager. Sadly Ken dropped (accidentally of course) the camcorder outside before going in to the church and for some reason the zoom was fudging up so we only have the regular digital camera video BUT we got it! Oh and some pictures.

Of course with all 4 kids dressed up (and myself – Ken opted for blue jeans and a somewhat spiffy sweater) we HAD TO take some pictures in front of the tree! Trinity was a little bit … upset about being dolled up but we reconciled her to the situation.

We got a bit of a visit with mom and Mike at the church but since the temperatures were so low they had to rush back home to Harley who had to be left in the bootroom where she would be warm but COULD have an accident!

Tonight I plan on working on baking, I have already made a dozen applesauce muffins… still need to make cookies, cookie dough and potentially a loaf. Thank goodness Ken enjoys baking too! Or at least mashing the bananas.

No new patterns today – but I am still working on my 4 pea-pod piece. I am hoping to complete it tomorrow when Ken assures me he will have my next big piece. I have two left that I REALLY want done before Christmas (and 3 IOU’s to give to people for belated gifts – not bad!).

The pears AND Homer should be up TONIGHT I am assured by Ken so be sure to check back! Homer will be a freebie and the pears 4.00… so check back!

  1. Congrats to Zander and Gavin for their first Christmas pageant! I enlarged the picture to look at the various costumes and I am assuming from the look of the batman costume and others that this was a modern-day pageant? 🙂 Cute!

I love you peas in the pods. You sure are a fast stitcher Lisa! And you stitch with children under foot! I love that! I had always stitched when my children were young and they learned very quickly what was mom’s ‘craft’ stuff and what was there, of course it was always put onto the highest shelf when not being stitched. I had my young nieces and nephew over for a gingerbread house party (see blog) and had to kidproof the house, something I haven’t had to do awhile and not too much with my boys.

I have baking to do too and renovation man is coming today :(…still can’t put up my tree.

Stay positive and take time for the little things because its those that count!

    Later
    Peggy
