Crafty Weekend

It is amazing how quickly a weekend can go when a good friend is there to enjoy it with you! Karyn made the trip over to spend the weekend scrapbooking and shopping and taking Trinity out for a trip. We went all the way to the south end for Ikea and meatballs! Trinity was VERY impressed by Aunty Karyn’s car with the windows  she could reach though she was quite vocal on the lack of a tv.

Then to the mall to buy the perfect hat for Trinity – AKA the only one we put on and she REFUSED to give back! And of course stopping by Sephora, though I did not buy anything. OH and a stop over at Old Navy to spend ANOTHER 10.00 on clothing for Miss Trinity – on SALE… Aunty Karyn could not resist with a couple on sale pieces for Trinity as well. I was amazed at how well behaved she was.

Today and last night we were much more creative, we scrapbooked 5 pages. Karyn brought her Cricut which I am not VERY sure I want some day – though the one that does the bigger sheets – the 12×12. I wonder if that would be covered under homeschooling since we would DEFINITELY find a million uses for it. The only problem is  the MACHINE is 499.99… ouch!

So Ken was left in charge of the masses for most of the last two days. It was nice to be out with just the girls and easier to keep my mind of anything we are worrying about!

Sadly this morning Trinity woke up rather ill so she has been a major cranky puss all day. So was Ken until I got him a cheap coffee maker at Walmart. The one we received for our wedding back in 2001 died last month leaving Ken without his coffee which apparently is DEATH for a programmer like him. I am amazed it lasted that long!

I am not exactly sure but I THINK I felt some baby movement finally today… or I have totally worn out all the muscles in my abdomen from when we were out walking and the times I had to carry Trinity… could go either way at this point. I am still amazed that we are at 16 weeks already.

Top off the weekend with a surprise visit from Nathan and Ada and it has been (beside the sick baby) a great one. I feel very blessed to have the wonderful and supportive friends that we do. I don’t know that I can ever say thank you enough! Hopefully this will be the week where everything will become more the norm and we can depend a little less on their kindness… I just want to be self sufficient again!
