Failing a Test… thought I was DONE school!

Definitely NOT my best day… but lets start on the positives! My bloodpressure is fine, the baby’s heartbeat at 144 and I measure on track, my iron levels – smack on… now for the not so good – I LOST 2 lbs!!! AND I FAILED THE GLUCOSE TEST!!! What does this mean? This means that I need to fast for 12 hours and then go back for a two hour test… that means blood taken MORE often and I sit in that waiting room for TWO HOURS. JOY! So now I am trying to find out what I CAN safely eat before the test I now have scheduled for WEDNESDAY morning… so no sugar, no carbs, no apples, bananas and oranges (guess what we bought today?)… protein, veggies and milk… water… yah me? But what is best for the baby right? On the plus side the doctor did say he thinks I have a less than 5% chance of being diabetic…

We came home to rain which meant our plans to finish our gardening with our newly purchased trowel and soil are now set aside until the weather clears. Zander’s behaviour in the grocery store was such that along with his two youngest siblings he was sent for a nap! (much needed) This left Gavin to work on his Father’s Day book in relative peace and quiet… and for me to head off for a nap.

Creating Solo! (Gavin)

After naps with somewhat happier children we sent them out to play in the puddles. Trinity caught on quite quickly the how to’s to stomping in puddles!

Nothing more satisfying than a good splash! (Gavin)

So for the rest of the family there was lots of rest, some splashy play and not much else, for me… well tomorrow WILL be better! I DID get another page done last night!!! Can you believe it, 2 more pages and everything is caught up except the special page I want to do for her 2 yr photos!

Out at the Fair with the Novak family!

  1. I always hated those test. Good luck that you pass the next one and don’t have to go on the stupid diet.
