Ending the Week

If not for the wind today, and the leaves everywhere of course you would think it was still summer. Thank goodness our van issues have coincided with this lovely weather. We have heard back from our mechanic – it IS a transmission issue and he is currently sourcing out used and new part prices. So a bit of a hit money wise but nothing our mechanic can’t deal with. Now the decision has to be made as to whether or not we borrow my mom’s spare car (her winter car – she drives the convertible in the summer), it is not big enough for the whole family but it would give Ken mobility. And we ARE hosting Chris (she) for the week upcoming. She has a week practical experience and it is here in the city. No car, bus-ing it but company for the week is going to be so much fun!

Today was a pretty good day. Lots of dry erase marker fun and not too much ended up on the kids!

Gavin and Emanuel

We took a family walk in the wind. After all what better way to burn off energy then to put the boys on their bikes and head to the gas station?

We are working out the logistics of getting everywhere we need to go over the weekend and following week. There is a gym meet up on Wednesday that if we have mom’s car Ken and the boys could go to… chores that need to be run, proper groceries to be bought. BUT on the plus side – no van = no random trips = money saved… to be used on the repairs but still! I have spent my time in a useful manner, going through winter clothes and costumes from last year and such and posting them for sale on Kijiji – my goal – to help offset the cost of the new gear for the boys and Trinity (Emanuel and Echo are all good). If anyone is interested here are my ads.

I did the finishing touches with Ken on our Math Mini office. We got the majority of our links from two sources: Teaching Heart and Lapbook Lessons I am hoping it will help the boys to have a standing reference. The next step isĀ  to work on an English one.

So now to get to the pattern Ken has finally finished to his satisfaction! It feels so GOOD to have something to sew again!
