Ooh time for a bit of a book review… or at least a book MENTION… I just finished one of my library books – Cockatiels at Seven by Donna Andrews… not the first of her series BUT the first for me. What I especially loved was that I didn’t need to read the previous ones, this one was a blast on its own. I love the main character… while I cannot exactly empathize with her life she is hilarious. The pace was great, and the jokes constant. I have already gone back to the library here and grabbed the other two the library had in (they were NOT in when I borrowed this one so they may be previous to it or not, didn’t check). Definitely a fun cozy mystery. It is a part of the Meg Langslow Mystery series. I think one of my favourite things about this book is how quirky everyone she meets, is friends with, related to… is. Everyone is a character and a half and yet you can follow who everyone is and how they fit into the community and the story. I cannot wait to get started on another!
