Cozy Classics: Moby Dick

This advance copy children’s book was a boardbook based on the classic Moby Dick (which I have to admit I have NOT read! Just heard about!). All of the pieces in the pictures are made out of felt. They include 12 kid friendly words and have you go through the two main characters and their dramatic interaction. Very basic but very fun… but don’t take my word for it, here is what the kids had to say!

Trinity: It was good and there was only pictures.

Emanuel: It was cool. I liked it.

Gavin: Everything was made out of felt. I liked the whale the most.

Zander: It was a very good book. I liked the pages. I liked the pirate ship the most with the captain.

I think this book would go over very well with Echo as well (though she really cannot tell me her opinion and prefers to handle her own books than have me read to her off the iPad). Holman and Jack Wang have created a marvelous simple narrative with their beautiful creations. So if you are a fan of classics DO check out Cozy Classics: Moby Dick.

Felted!
