The heat wave has broken, it feels positively chilly and Emanuel is already in better spirits. I feel more in control, less overwhelmed. The twins and I played with their beachball and read stories before naptime… and while they are not yet asleep they are not screaming like they are in pain. We all are doing so much better.
Ken leaves Sunday – SUNDAY… it feels like time is just slipping away with so much to do. We still have to find shoes for him, pack, get all the groceries I need for the 4 days he is gone. I am still a little nervous about the idea of being home alone with the boys all day. My mom is coming over Monday (she has it off since Saturday is Canada Day) and then Karyn a day or two later. We are still waiting on getting out new ‘fridge though, with all the food we need to buy I was hoping it would be here by the end of the week but apparently the height of our cupboards (so low) make it difficult to find an affordable unit.
The playpen is working wonders on Emanuel napping during the day. I do have to squish up a pillow next to him so that he feels a little more closed in, but it is so much better, he can stretch out without banging his head.
