Public Health is….

On our side???? You heard me right for the first time like EVER the Public Health nurse was completely in agreement with us where as our own pediatrician was less than supportive!!! WOW!
We were in getting Trinity’s 4 month shots (poor baby) and they weighed her (coincidentally their scale has a TWO lb difference compared to the dr’s!) and then charted her and according to the nurse she is right on her curve… low percentile but come on she is small like me! but she is gaining in all ways on HER curve… what the nurse showed us is that if her HEAD growth had changed THAT would show that her nutrients were off but that is on curve as well… so instead of needing more to eat (come on how do you feed a baby that is FULL?) she is just a smaller child… YAY vindication!!! That and the nurse said we were amazing parents etc etc lol how can you not like that???
Today Trinity is sleepy with the tylenol and the boys are rather antsy.. it is a cloudy and cool day out so we can’t go for a walk – well can’t go anyway, the strollers are in the van at work with Ken and the baby is ASLEEP – like hell I am messing with that LOL.. so we did our shape and colour flashcards and then moved onto playdoh… As I write Emanuel is making…. well a mess and the twins are making eggs for baby birds to come out of… and using my cookie cutters to make trains.
After lunch and before quiet time – that golden period of time when Emanuel is already to nap – the boys are going to work on the little books we are making – I took old pictures I had printed as duplicates or whatever and let them choose what ever they wanted.. I trimmed them up and today they will glue them on pieces of cardstock and we will talk about what is in the pictures, number of people, who they are, etc.. nothing fancy, next time I will print out pictures of friends and family on purpose but it is a start. Sunday they sign up for Sunday School! Exciting! and then next Saturday is the company picnic… never dull around here…
