Well good grief… a pair of very colour coordinate holidays that I did NOT blog yet! Anyway… enjoy!

Canada Day or July 1st… Red and White. A rather at home event this year as it rained, but we made do. 

We drove out to a Tim Hortons and enjoyed all sorts of yummy donuts.

Hung up our Canadian lawn decoration.

Had yummy lunch together including homemade Nanaimo bars.

And of course, poutine!

And of course took all sorts of photos of the whole family in their Canadian outfits.

July 4th was another at home whole family kind of thing for us this year. Ken was very busy with work this summer and on call. 

It was a sunnier day so we did manage some fun outside with bubbles.

Belated Birthday thanks to Gammie

May tends to be absolutely lovely here so we try to take full advantage with LOTS of time outside. 

And in the sprinkler.

We got started on our planter boxes as well. Tomatoes and cucumbers this year. 

Plus Ken and I snuck out for a wedding.

Congrats you two!

I even had my very own Mother’s Day (not professional of course) photo shoot! 

We had a field trip to a local museum with homeschool buddies.

We broke out the freezies.

And worked on our meager landscaping skills.

Climbed trees.

Went on long walks. And learned our route to the YMCA.

Had lunch outdoors.

And started our Canada unit. 

We even managed a visit with the Schwartz family.

And S’mores on the bbq… improvising!

One of the things I love about May in Minnesota is that it does warm up. And this year we took full advantage!
