Which is like the reverse of Christmas in July… wow that silliness fell a little flat! Anyway… July.

July is another where the events are already posted, but the month still held some fun. July 1st – Canada Day and July 4th HERE.

We washed out our tie dye which I think we are starting to get the hang of.

We spent tons of time outside. 

Trinity bashed her head open at the pool on the water slide stair railing. The YMCA was absolutely wonderful about cleaning it up and keeping her calm. And Ken and Trinity were total troopers at the hospital. 

And the girls we playdate with at the YMCA were terrific about playing games instead of swimming until her head healed up enough.

Our friends down the road brought her get well soon Tim Bits!

We even made a trip out to a local dam. It was great fun to wander around and enjoy the water, the wildlife and the people watching. Walkabout Wednesdays.

We also met the Novaks’ new kitten Yoshi!

Well, honestly we just plain got busy! We have 2 different weekends of Canadian guests in October, Ken had a last minute flight out for a 3 day event, Trinity and Emanuel tested for yellow belts in karate and Ken had to go to a benefit and receive an award! But more on that at a later date… here are the last 2 days of Honest Photo Month. I hope you enjoyed the experience. I know I did!

Day 29

We are almost at the end… Honest truth… crochet and crafting keeps me sane. This has been a long week and a new project was started to sooth the soul… and with every baby blanket the kids give me the “No babies here? RIGHT?” look. Darlings we took good careful care to ensure that 5 is the magic number… All my babies are fur or borrowed…

Day 30

…and the last of Honest Photo month. I wish I had something deep and introspective. Instead I have 2 cranky teens in my hammock reading books. Thank you for joining me on my experiment. A month of honest images. True to form we were wild, weird, silly, even boring. I know I won’t commit to another month of daily pictures just yet, but promise to share any good honest images as they pop up in my life with the bold words HONEST PHOTO. So keep an eye peeled and feel free to share your own with me.

Surprise Surprise… I am almost current! Woo! Well, October is Halloween (of course), and Ken’s birthday (39 this year!) AND Canadian Thanksgiving (yup this Canadian girl still celebrates).

We started off the month with a trip to Home Depot.

Visited a pumpkin patch with a lovely group of friends.

We all got a little sunburned after so much time in the sun.

We visited the Schwartz family for a bonfire and shooting off of rockets.

Spent time at the Novak’s.

And had them over to our place as well.

We met Chloe, Anthony’s girlfriend.

Enjoyed all the colours of fall.

We learned about bats and made our very own cave in the cabinet.

We found plenty of time to do crafts and worksheets and learn as best we could.

We celebrated Nathan’s birthday at a super fun trampoline place.

Sang in the choir at church.

We spent time at the YMCA – swimming, working out and club.

I crocheted whenever I could.

October was a lovely refocus of our time. Lots of friends and family and quiet celebrations (we had take out for Thanksgiving, nothing fancy).
