Dinosaurs were a world wide phenomena. The Abelisaurus was found in what is now Argentina, South America. This Cretaceous period dinosaur is a bit of a mystery as only one skull has been found which is badly damaged on the right side. A lot can be determined from this single skull though, combined with location and era. This carnivore had large holes in its skull called fenestrae above the jaw. It is likely these were present to lighten the weight of the head or to work as a sound amplifier or olfactory sensors.

Quite the predator

The kids were rather sure this was a TRIceratops until they realized that it had TWO horns over its eyebrows and not a third. This herbivore was found in the USA during the Cretaceous period and is considered to be one of the earliest horned dinosaurs. A familiar looking but different dinosaur to be sure!

Emanuel does love his rainbows

This “savage lizard” is one of the largest known Jurassic therapods. The Torvosaurus is found in North America and is a rather intimidating carnivore. There is some debate as to whether or not it is actually a dinosaur on its own or a version of another due to the lack of a complete skeleton. An intimidating and fierce dinosaur Emanuel was quick to point out that it looks A LOT like a T Rex!
