Keep Me Ghosted… Sophie Rhodes Romantic Comedy.

Sometimes those daily freebies on Amazon are absolute gems… Keep Me Ghosted, a first in a series by Karen Cantwell is one of those.

What is a single girl with a ghostly tag along to do but live life her own way? Sophie is an animal loving single girl with a one eyed cat and a pet flying squirrel named Peter Pan. I have to say I absolutely ADORE her ghostly companion Marmaduke… British and all!

In answering an add to work as a receptionist at a specialized optomotris’s office Sophie is introduced to the dishy Dr. Callahan and his not so friendly ghostly tag along Moonflower. With a struggling practice and ghostly interruptions there is lots to be accomplished, a minor mystery to be solved and hilarity to ensue.

This is the first in the series, and I am rather looking forward to future installments. You fall in love with the characters and honestly are right there with them all the way. The romance is gentle and REALISTIC. Sophie, for all her quirks and silly moments has a good head on her shoulders. Ghosts and a little witchcraft with a dishy doctor (eye) to boot… I honestly could not put this one down!

Ghouls Night Out… a Book Review

Exchange Abraham Lincoln (Me and My Ghoulfriends) with the amazing Mae West and you have the beginnings of the second in the Larue Donavan series – Ghouls Night Out. Larue runs a bookstore by day and is a psychic medium ghost hunter at night. With the ability to speak to the dead she always has a few hangers on. This time the indomitable Mae West and her potential boyfriend’s grandfather are a part of the grouping.

Still reeling from the previous story’s black magic, spells and handsome man Larue is thrown back into everything with an offer the position of Coven leader, the cousin of her previous tormentor in town and a spooky black figure to contend with. The new man in town seems to have cast some sort of spell over her bestfriend and her boyfriend has grown cold over night. Add in a ghostly touch from a dead admirer who loves to flirt and a town full of secrets and witches and regular everyday busy bodies and Larue has her hands full.

This light hearted paranormal mystery with a touch of romance is a fun read. A great sequel to the first, Ghouls Night Out by Rose Pressey is a wonderful addition to a cozy ghost loving collector!

The Ghost and Jacob Moorhead… a Book Review

The Ghost and Jacob Moorhead is the first in the series The Ghost and Romance series by Joanne Savery. A humourous romance with a mystery stacked on top of it. I really enjoyed this Regency era story. There are issues of class, true love, inheritance and of course a ghost. The main characters are trying to determine who each other really are, beyond the gossip and the shared unorthodox history. While upstanding people in their own right, their parentage is less than stellar with adulterous parents on one side and a love match deemed inappropriate by the Ton on the other.

Jacob Moorhead, the heir arrives with the late Lord Everston still in residence, as the resident ghost… remaining along side his long time love the housekeeper and aunt of Verity born of a love match and neglected by her parents due to their all encompassing love. With a will to follow and land at stake Jacob is stuck at the residence for a year, or until he finds love…

With a scheming pair in the wings trying to turn Jacob’s head and lose him the land there is adventure, mystery, love, lies and truth. The minor characters are entertaining, the landscape beautiful and the romance heart warming. A wonderful paranormal regency romance!
