October 30th continued-31st
After all the fun of costumes and milk jugs we moved onto the big attraction – PUMPKIN CARVING! Ken cleaned out all but one of them himself to speed along the process and the kids all took turns doing the last.
Carving was up to the kids with strict supervision and some Daddy assistance.
I think we did a grand job of creating some very imaginative Jack ‘o Lanterns.
Echo even did a little Halloween fashion. Last year’s pieces still fit!!
Onwards to Halloween and spooky pictures thanks to Art for Kids (link on right).
We got the chance to tape and then watch the movie based on the book Room on the Broom.
Of course we had to eat that GIANT rice krispie square…
Combined with the kids’ first of the program free pizza for reading from Pizza Hut. This is Trinity’s first year!!! Nana and Baba took them to pick it up (you have to have the kids there to use the coupon).
We also put up Nana’s Halloween themed window stickers.
Before we knew it it was time for an early dinner – with ORANGE jell-o (thematic).
And then time to get back into those costumes and over to the Novaks for the long anticipated Trick-or-Treating. Although we had to suddenly convince Echo that Little Red Ridinghood was a “Prinpress”. I love the addition of Trinity’s church coat to her costume. Functional and adorable. We were joined by zombies and creative painted creatures and after our Trick or Treat adventure sat back and enjoyed some Halloween themed games and visiting! Sit back and enjoy the parade of pictures!!!
