Things That Go Bump… Overhead!

Ok time for a little bit of a rant on our upstairs neighbors… it seems like they are loud lately ONLY at night… college students (of course), but there is an elephant up there who only comes out at night I swear. As I type they are stomping around up above our livingroom… our diningroom light fixture is rattling, our twins are chatting in their cribs (there is only a little bit of the noise filtering into their room) and I am really wishing we could afford to just up and move to a duplex… but then I remember – GAS – not only is the stuff for our van up above a dollar again, but the house gas is pricey too. That is the one bright spot of renting an apartment – no gas bill, course we are still on the second floor and in a two bedroom but we are not paying through the teeth for gas.
There is a new cartoon on tv tonight – Skyland. It was interesting, excellent CG but VERY short – the first installment was only a 30 min show and of that I swear there were more commercials than show. Ken really enjoyed it, but was in agreement that we needed more for a first showing. That, and they are only releasing one new episode per week – frustratingly slow for Ken!
THe twins have been total brats for us this afternoon/evening. They spent the morning with Grandma Anna while Ken and I took baby and did some shopping. I finally got to try Pocky – YUMMY! We got the regular and white chocolate kind at the anime store in town – Anime Hypercubed. I do enjoy looking around there once in a while. But the boys have just been strung out… not sure if it is the after affects of the hearing tests (just them being out of the norm) or their colds or just them testing limits. I could do with a day with the lovely nice boys they seem to be for everyone else. LOL
Emanuel has been fussy today as well, but I think that is more just the frustration in the house impacting him. He is still my angel baby… it is really hard to be totally frustrated with him with how cute he is. Though I must say going to church tomorrow is looking doubtful. We have decided that after Zander’s MRI on Thursday going to church on Sunday is a must. We will definately be in need of a recharge.
Karyn has our PS2 so in order to watch Season 2 of Murder She Wrote I have to do it on my laptop… not harship but it does mean I need to get these windows closed… til tomorrow…

Smiles, Ears and MRI Fears

We survived the Hearing Tests… both boys had fluid behind the ears… Gavin had borderline normal/below normal results but Zander had to have it go up a frequency. This could mean that they have fluid there all the time, or just as a result of the plethera of colds they have had this year. However that does mean that what they hear is the equivalent of being underwater. So I made another appointment with Dr. Saini their pediatrician and the hearing people want them back in 4 months to recheck. No talk of tubes, but we will deal with whatever is the result of all this. Maybe if we can get rid of the fluid (I am told antibiotics can do this too sometimes) they will hear better and finally start talking.
The weekend is here already – time just zipped right by. Tomorrow we are having Grandma Anna (my mom) over to watch the twins in the morning and we are taking in our mountain of cans and bottles and doing some shopping. I need to look into backpack style carriers, carrying Emanuel on my chest – at least in the chest carrier (we are still working out the sling) is hard on my back – that combined with my larger chest is just too much.
I finally caught Emanuel smiling on the camera, Ken’s hair is there too but the joy in his little eyes – priceless. I had gotten a coupon for buy one get one free for a photo album maker so I think Ken and I are going to make one of Emanuel and one of the Twins for me. The mini book… we just have to have it shipped to Ken’s parents’ and then up here as the company’s Canadian shipping costs are VERY high.
We are less than a week away from Zander’s MRI and I am nervous about it… I guess we just have to put our worries in God’s hands and go there hoping for the best… right?

Twin Group and Religion in Webcomics

In randomly searching through webcomics I found an amazing comic called World High School where each character represents a religion. It is a rather interesting look at the similarities and differences in the basic ideologies and characteristics of each religion. There are only 2 chapters so far and no real main character/religion. It updates only once monthly but I, for one am going to watch for updates! If you do check it out please email me and let me know what you thought of it
Twin group was today. We had all 4 sets of twins PLUS a lady who is 31 weeks along who will be having twins. She and her husband work for CLBI. So we are all going to go through our baby stuff and see what they need. I know we have an extra carseat.
It is still a bit of a shock how quickly we are working through April. Next month is the first month of TWO twin group meetings – First Monday and Third Wednesday of each month. We are debating on having the next one at the park instead of the indoor playground depending on the weather.
I think tomorrow night I am going to follow Emanuel’s schedule and make an early night of it. I need to catch up on my sleep…
