The BEST Gift of Christmas I Had to Return After TWO Days!

You read right… the BEST gift of Christmas was one I HAD to return after only TWO days! The very best of surprises occured on the 27th of December… my Daddy managed to fly in for the family Christmas… picture it, I walked in the door of my Uncle Brian’s 5 kids in tow (had my nephew Jimmie with me as well), shouted out a "Merry Christmas" and got my boots off just in time to see my very own Daddy coming up the stairs from the basement! Tears were shed by yours truly as to be expected for it is a known FACT that Lisa cannot say HELLO or GOOD BYE to her Daddy, Stepmommy and Sister without shedding her share of tears… and best of all I received a great big hug from someone I totally did NOT expect to see this season!
I tried my darndest to convince him that as my Christmas gift he was OBLIGATED to stay here with me, but the reality was there… I had him for 2 days and then had to return to sender… But what a terrific 2 days! We spent a ton of time together at the Reinsch Christmas where he had time to snuggle our little Trinity until she fell asleep in his arms… and then the next day we headed over to my Uncle Vincent’s (he and Stacey adopted twins born the same month as T) and visited with him there… we also opened gifts with him (I still need to mail ours south as Ken could not sneak them into the van without me knowing) where Ken got a blanket and I a sweater and t-shirt from Lees-McRae (whatever shall I do once Kat graduates from there? I will have to go without my college gear – they make the warmest snuggly sweaters!). The boys got their Grandma Reinsch’s favorite movie Wall-E which they watched on the ride home from the city tonight! It was a HUGE hit!
Of course the visit ended with some tears on my side but it was all worth it, my best gift of all was so lovingly given by my Stepmom Jamie and my sister Kat… I am not sure how in the world I will EVER thank them enough for it!!! So though I had to let Dad go home I now have my own trip to plan down with Trinity to look forward to and pictures from this visit to remind me of how much fun we had!!!

Best Birth Control EVER

WARNING mature content in a humorous situation!

I would market it as the "Divine Gift" as in Davinia, Trinity Davinia… that’s right, our almost 8 month old darling is a terrific form of birth control… Now how does said method work you may ask… well simply put her to bed in her crib across the room for the bed… wait until she is good and asleep and then decide to snuggle on said bed… now how quickly does it work… you would think this method would initiate on snuggle and chatting quietly… nooooo…. how about kisses and mild "petting"… noooo… try 5 seconds before what Ken terms "the point of no return"… That’s right, our little darling has a sixth sense as to when mommy and daddy are ready to enjoy some "adult moments" and at that point SHRIEKS like a loving, yet angry angel… VERY effective…

Now one asks what about condoms… a 99.9blahblah % effectiveness… well we are well versed and I have had "The Talk" with the Divine Gift… explaining to her that mommy and daddy are well aware of the usage of condoms and practice safe sex… even explaining to her that we have no plans in the near future to usurp her position as the beloved baby… and yet she has so selflessly volunteered her extensive near ESP talents to ensuring the Reinsch-Johnson Clan does NOT add another carseat to our already nearly full mini van…

So though she is effective (and if you speak to Ken often the past month you would know VERY) and at the same time maintains her cuteness she is by no means as kind as the simple condom… at least with conventional birth control you maintain the ability to enjoy the company of your mate.. Divine Gift removes even that satisfaction… this certainly decreases the enjoyment factor but my no means decreases the effectiveness.

Now comes the question of viable to market…. well not overly… let’s see… in order for YOU to have this method you must first have yourself a Trinity and since she breastfeeds and seems to be rather connected to me and mine… well one of a kind (I can almost hear the sigh of relief) so sadly the rest of the world will not have the ability to try this method out, unless they come up with their own version (I am pretty sure you can figure out how to do THAT one)

So sarcasticly we are saying thank you Trinity for ensuring our little family remains 4 strong… but man if only she was not so damn cute! Let’s just pray she starts sleeping deeper so I have less sarcastic laiden mature contact anicdotes to share with you all!

The lost commas in life

So we picked up our over 100 Christmas cards I ordered from Walmart and what do I see …. a MISSED comma! So no biggy, I sit down with my pen and put tiny ticks on each card.. but still is this some sort of metaphor for my life? A hint that perhaps perfection is either not that important or no longer in reach? I figure one missed comma is no biggy … spelling on of the kids’ names WRONG would be horrible! But a comma… oh well, perhaps people will get a bit of a snicker out of it.
Life is all over the place here, sick people so not getting much done cleaning or school wise, trying to get an answer out of the twins’ ped about the referal or taking on Trinity… I so do NOT want to go back to our ped who is so set on her being on formula… as of today she has gained another half pound in 2 weeks… so half as much as last time but for a baby her age (7 months old) quite the accomplishment… I just want a dr who makes me feel heard and accepts that I have 3 other kids I have not maimed or killed so I just MIGHT know what I am doing!!! According to some people here in the city, most people just take their infants to a GP so peds tend to look for things wrong? Weird that we are assigned a ped out of the hospital then, but I don’t have a GP here anyway so it is a non issue.
Trinty is definitely commando crawling EVERYWHERE and into whatever she can reach… Emanuel is still her biggest fan. We are no longer van-less and the final cost even came in UNDER quote! But with sickies we have not managed our trip to see Great Grandma and Grandpa Bill… hopefully next week. We are both quite aware that at the Reinsch Family Christmas we are not going to have a lot of time to socialize …. a lot of time to chase small boys and keep Trinity safe yes, chatting and RELAXING (what does THAT word mean?) not so much.
I got my hair cut this week… and realized I now need to invest in a straightner rod thing… so now to find one of THOSE… darn these wavy locks of mine! but it does look good and even with the waves passable!
Well, I just thought I would share my comma errer – Emanuel and Ken share a spot in the sentance I guess! Back to my kids and my mess….
