Happy Mother’s Day!

Happy Mother’s Day! Ken gave me my gift Saturday night (well tonight basically lol)… a new World of Warcraft account! So we are planning on gaming together. I doubt I will play much any other time with all the other projects (sewing, websites, etc) I have going, but I must admit it is fun to get back into playing it again.
Saturday was relatively quiet. Emanuel and I got in an afternoon nap and as a family we did all of our shopping in the morning. We got some seperates for the boys at Walmart and even got Emanuel an outfit at the used kids clothing store (we traded in one of the twins’ outfits). I do still need to find myself some new shorts though.
Basically it has been a rather quiet weekend. Next weekend is a long weekend so we are hoping to take part of a day and see mom and her boyfriend out where they plan to go camping, maybe leave the twins with them for a couple hours while we got some stuff done, or not … who knows
I do have some GREAT news – my dad, for the first time in 2 years is coming up to Canada! He will be here for Emanuel’s baptism as well as a day before and after. I am looking forward to some face to face visiting as well as the kids getting a chance to play with Grandpa. I am just sorry that my step-mom and my sister will not be here. They are going for a girls only trip tomorrow – a cruise!! Hopefully when the boys are big and Emanuel weened I can join in on one too.
So once again – Happy Mother’s Day !!! Love to you all !!!

Our “Date Afternoon”

We made it home safe and sound… not only did we make it to the doctor’s on time but we also got all of our shopping done, went out for a delicious dinner and got in some visiting time with the Den Otters. Grandma and the twins had a nice afternoon/evening.
Emanuel came through with flying colours at the surgeon’s. The red mark along a portion of one of the incisions is just a mild reaction to the dissolvable stitches and the little hole I noticed was just where the knot was and will heal up. We can just put polysporen on it. So that is over and done with. He did mention that there is a 1 in 100 chance that the hernia could reappear.
I got some new pages to work on Emanuel’s scrapbook, aida cloth to do a special stitch for him and at Toys’R’Us we got a new sleeper, outfit and little booties with kittens on them (they match the yellow Gagou Tagou sets). We also stopped at Ikea to get batteries and a roll of brown paper for the boys to draw on. Dinner was at Tony Romas and absolutely fantastic. What a "date" trip .
Now I am wiped, hopefully tomorrow I can get Emanuel’s 3 month picture page done as well as some cleaning in the diningroom…
This morning Gavin tripped over Ken’s foot and banged his forehead into the rocking chair. Poor man has a goose-egg so hopefully the swelling will be down soon… we had my mom give him Advil before bed and nap… I can only imagine the headache .

Doctors, Hair Dressers and a Quiet Moment

We took the twins in and got their hair cut today. You take off the beginnings of curls and they seem to grow up right in front of you. Ken was a real sweety and took the twins to their doctor’s appointment this afternoon and then did the grocery shopping.
It turns out that the boys do still have fluid in their ears and according to the MRI Zander has some in his ear bone??? but it can take 2-3 months for that to drain away and he was optimistic it might. Zander is still on the meds until the appointment we got a notice about today for November with the neurologist. I guess they are leaving him on it since there was some a-symetrical brain waves. I still do not understand why they do not just check Gavin. Since they ARE identical. Otherwise he is fine, the medication is more precautionary. Gavin has two spots of exema (sp?) so we got a prescription for some steriod cream and then just have to keep his skin moisturized – no biggy. The pediatrician is also lining us up that allergy test for the twins… see if we are grown out of that egg allergy (please please PLEASE).
Well tomorrow afternoon it is just Ken, Emanuel and ME. Yay… shopping, appointment and DINNER with ONLY the baby YAY… and then Sunday is Mother’s Day – I still have no idea what Ken has planned.
