Re-Caught the Gaming Bug!

Talk about a cute moment today – I was sitting in the livingroom and all I could hear was a little voice going SIP SIP SIP – perfectly said – I went to look and there was Zander holding Emanuel’s water cup up to his mouth so he could drink. I was amazed, within days of keeping the cup out where the kids could get to it (and buying matching ones in a different colour for the twins) they (mainly Zander) have taught Emanuel how to drink out of it!!! Like the other two he LOVES water, but still breastfeeding is first! He is also eating some more complex babyfood – at 27 cents a jar I am making some myself but buying the more complex combinations at the store.
The new expansion for WoW came out this week. Ken got two copies and let me have the collector’s to have the special pet (have I mentioned this?) – Burning Crusade. I have started one of the new Horde raceĀ – a Blood Elf, female and… big surprise… a priest! They really did an amazing job on the newbie area for the race. I am already up to lvl 17 and loving it. Ken has been working on the new 60+ level stuff. I will eventually pull my Alliance priest Anahita out and work from 60 to 70 but right now I feel like playing my Blood Elf.
We had our first session with someone coming in to read with the kids this Thursday and late that day started Emanuel’s college fund (RESP) we have had to start it with a lower monthly payment than with the twins but it is started and I feel really good about that. Especially with my having to pay my rather large debt back starting in May.
I have been hunting down some more webcomics, mainly Manga and mostly the stuff written for girls – all shiny and big eyed and pretty. So I will have to add to my favorite comics list. So much to do but the draw of the Blood Elf…..

Money Money It’s a Rich Man’s World!

There are moments where you feel like everything is starting to look up and whenever I get that feeling when it comes to MONEY it is inevitably followed by some knew and unknown or forgotten debt. Poor Ken is going to be working this night job forever. So yesterday I called Government student loan to check on my interest relief and geeze, I am lucky I asked when I could apply for another 6 month – I CAN’T !!! As of May we have to start paying it back – that is ANOTHER 300.00 or so a month. I am going to try and negotiate lower payments but it looks like Ken may have to pick up another shift or two at night later and we will have to be very careful if we do move to another place… UGH Ken says not to worry but still…. it would have been nice for them to let me know how many more terms I had before this point. I am not overly confident that Royal Bank (they were in charge of the gov loans before they were taken over by a branch within the gov and treat them more like regular loans – blood from a stone people!!!)
On the other hand – Emanuel’s party supplies came last night. It is so cute. Now we just need to go to the dollar store to match up the extra bits and get gift bags. So much to do. Thursday we are also having a rep come to start Emanuel’s RESP (college fund).
So the kids are cranky, we have the new expansion of WoW and I was up at 6:30 this morning with the baby! Sorry this is such a disjointed and short but man am I tired!

Ok so somedays are harder than others. For the past two Gavin has been having a hard time passing stool. Today he was in pain and cranky and for the second day in a row did NOT nap. Finally after a warm bath and after Ken had already left for the pharmacy and the suppositories he passed some. Ken did call into work to say he would go in TOMORROW night and stayed home tonight since Gavin would only let Ken change him or help him out. Add to that the elusive missing green binky and we had all 3 kids up past 10 pm! It turned out that Zander was our hero – he found the green binky when we were about ready to sit down and cry. Ken had stopped off at Walmart but they did not have any in – thank goodness it was not the yellow one – we can only get those 3 hours away! I am going to call the company in the states that makes the darn things and see what it would take to get a bunch shipped up here. Their main site has a number for Canadians to call but I will have to wait until Monday. I think we would use the same soothers on the next baby. Course they are medical ones and hard to find but so nice.
I finally got our main site updated tonight. Now all I need to do is get the apartment cleaned before the woman who is doing our 10 week reading program gets here (Thursday morning) I have quite a bit of re-organizing ahead of me. With the kids up so late I did not get into my scrapbooking stuff tonight. I have Emanuel’s pictures for Christmas and found Ken’s only baby picture. I have to take his picture in to get copies of. It is a tiny wallet.
Twin group is SUPPOSED to be next Wednesday, I think the group has run its course. One of the founding mothers is gone and the newest parents are not able to come on Wednesdays anyway. We will not make it next week since we have to get groceries and Ken has to work that night and I have to get everything sorted for Thursday morning. The woman is going to be here at 9:15. It is sad, we may join the larger and official chapter in the city.
Hmmm so other than cranky kids, freezing weather and the overwhelming need for MORE SLEEP! And some time for a nice bath (tomorrow I hope since we are not making the trip to church with Gavin like this) life is rather sedate. Just remember Emanuel’s party is the 3rd of next month – now that I got my credit card sorted out the invites are going to get here later than I thought so will not make it to people 2 weeks before for sure. RSVP me so I can start sorting out food. Valentines Day needs to be planned too as well as the little cake and family only celebration for the twins on their birth date – party later in the year… so much to do!
