Potty Moment

Not too much going on just a piece of proud mommy news – today during breakfast Zander was looking like he was pooping at the table so I asked him if he needed to use the potty which he was willing to do! So I left him on the potty while I tended to Emanuel, went in and he had not pooped but PEED in the potty and around the potty and on the potty – Mommy forgot the pee guard! Oops! So into the tub with the potty to rinse off and then Zander in to get nice and clean.
We did go out and drop off our two letters and then came home and did some drawing with our sidewalk chalk… Emanuel even had a go with it and was quite upset when it was time to leave. All three had a decent nap though were cranky by the time Ken got home. We definately have some cleaning to do this weekend which is thankfully a long weekend. Will be nice to have Ken home for three days.
We are currently trying to get the best situation set up for my student loans, I am applying for debt reduction which means I can never have another student loan but that is fine and it was suggested I call the Alberta Gov and look into loan remission… so much to figure out with that but at least we can afford the first payment. Then we are also looking into all the details of buying a house – Ken’s folks have tentatively suggested THEY buy a house and we buy it from them since we cannot seem to find a rental! Would that not be terrific if we could get it all figured out so all parties were satisified?
So much to think about this month!

Time Flies With Friends Around!

It has been a VERY busy weekend! Lots of visiting and eating and shopping and swimming and and and! Let’s see – Friday afternoon Kathy made it here and that night we went out for dinner to the noodle house just the two of us – so yummy and then went over to a friend of her’s to pick up her new Wii. Friday night Esther made it here safely. So we played Wii and chatted and had a great evening staying up way too late.
Saturday morning Esther and Kathy watched the twins so that we could go and return our bottles at the depot – a very profitable hour or so – $82.00 and we still have some to take back in the storage unit. They played with the chalk and ran around out front. We had McDonald’s for lunch and Emanuel had just enough time to have a nice nap before Karyn got here and we headed out to the pool. Mom met us there and we swam for around 2 hours. It took Emanuel an hour to loosen up but even he had a blast! I took a ton of pictures and videos and everyone had a really good time! Ken and I got some time in the hot tub and we all got a chance to swim in the deep end. Mom was content to hang out with the little ones and really had a great time splashing and playing ball.
When we got home we had cake and ice cream and then presents. The boys got some really nice stuff – lincoln logs, books, clothes, scooters… later on Alan and Xinny and Isabella joined the party and we ordered pizza. It was really a nice visit, Esther went out with some other Camrose friends that night and Karyn and Kathy stayed over. Sunday morning Esther came back and all of us girls and Emanuel went to the city (Kathy took her own car since she had to stay in the city and meet someone at 4/5). We shopped and had lunch at Swiss Chalet. As well as stopping off at a friend of Karyn and Esther’s so Esther could say good bye – Esther is moving to BC at the end of the month!!! I got myself a new hooded sweater and pair of shorts, the boys got new hoodies to replace the bleached ones and I got 3 matching white polo shirts for the kids for our pictures next Saturday – we have to get them done for Ken’s work’s picture wall. I also could not resist buying Emanuel a onesie that says "I’m Not a Girl"… it was just too cute! I showed restraint at Michaels and got a few pages of scrapbook paper and the thread I need for a Christmas gift and a little accordian scrapbook with Tinker Bell on it! Now all I have to do is find stickers and paper and such and I can make myself something rather special. Karyn showed me a book in a tin she did that I want to mimic using a wooden box decopaged with a couple of those books in it…
Esther headed home last night leaving behind pj pants, a sweater and her toothpaste – hopefully Kathy will come back through here on her way home from her vacation and be able to pick it up since until the end of the month she lives in the same city as Esther. Karyn also headed home with her car since she was driving our van for the Sunday out. It was great. The boys and Ken got me this month’s cross stitching magazine as well as a year’s subscription. I got a red carnation at lunch at Swiss Chalet as well! Although I had to cook dinner and the house was a mess since Ken forgot when he was signing up for raids that Sunday was Mother’s Day and was signed up. Steven and Bree even called me! How wonderful is that? And I am rather sure most of the mommies got their cards from the boys on time! I still need to send the one to Ken’s mom though.
Monday mom came over early with Rikki and we all went on a nice walk after my bath. The boys even call the dog by name – Gikki. We went to the drugstore and ordered Zander’s meds, postal outlet and got stamps, Christain bookstore for colouring books, library to drop off books, Extra Foods to visit with Christine who was subbing today and then Subway for lunch, dollar store for thank you cards supplies and then home! Full morning! I did not find any Tinker Bell supplies that were cheap though they had large stickers for $3.00 I may go back for. The rest of the week will be quiet… I do need to make the thank you cards for the party (tomorrow probably) and get the laundry to mom’s, other than that just our morning walks and trying to keep my temper with three VERY active boys… wish me luck!!!

Happy Mother’s Day!

The Mother of Twins

 A meeting convened one day
in Heavens sacred hall.
The Ideal mother must be found
for twins so sweet and small.

She must be patient, first of all,
And kind and calm and wise.
And capable of chasing tears
away from little eyes.

She’d have to put her children first
And be so very smart
Have dedication and resolve,
A sweet and loving heart.

They all agreed you were the best
No other mom would do.
Yes, Heaven found the perfect one
And sent those twins to you!
