And tomorrow we head right from church to my mom’s … so I am going to see if I can write more from there as tonight I am just worn out!

And tomorrow we head right from church to my mom’s … so I am going to see if I can write more from there as tonight I am just worn out!
The past two days have been busy ones. Last night was Ken’s gaming night and since half the guys couldn’t make it he played Talisman with Ted, my Cousin David and his friend Jordan. So they snacked on some of the flavoured candy canes Ken got by accident (he meant to get mint) and had a great time.
I, on the other hand, stitched like mad to finish in a timely manner my last stitching gift for Christmas… I can’t post it until after the 21st but I am EXTREMELY proud of both the design and the completed stitch. I just hope the recipient is as happy as I am! That is not to say everything is DONE… I still have a small stack of finished pieces to truly “finish” to gift out and baking to sort and and and … and it ALL as to be done TONIGHT. So it makes sense that today I have felt totally drained! So tempting to just curl up with a good book in bed…
The kids have been hard at work with their preparations for Christmas. We still need to wrap their gifts to each other and it looks like Daddy and Emanuel will bake cookies as his gift on the 23rd for everyone! The plans for tomorrow’s party seem to be pretty much completed. Though we do have some cleaning to do before people get here. We are having a potluck dinner this year. I am looking forward to trying all the different dishes.
Gavin was Daddy’s helper on errands last night… lucky boy got a doughnut as a treat and was kind enough to ask to bring home EVERYONE something!
The stitching I CAN show is the Santa of course… I am well into beading now and am loving how he is turning out. I am not sure if I will have the time to finish him this weekend as the tiny beads and my mom’s house are not exactly a good idea. Especially not with the dog running around.
Today we did some minor running around – had to get some gift bags – it is actually CHEAPER to get the reusable ones from Toys R Us than traditional paper bags! and one last gift for a little guy. Oh and a couple notions from Michaels. That is not to say that KEN doesn’t have more to run and do but I am done!
I think the boys are too excited about tomorrow… behaviour has decreased as the time drew closer to bedtime (thank heavens) whining and fighting and man do I wish I could have put them to bed at 5pm!!!
Of course interruption after interruption tonight… phone calls… kids… Trinity getting into something… I REFUSE to be up late tonight… I have been so tired lately that if I want to have a good time tomorrow I will need a fairly reasonable bedtime tonight.
This has definitely been a week of good news. Life just feels more… hopeful again! I am hoping to keep our momentum going: prayer, positive though and lots of hard work! And tomorrow – pictures and the recipe for my Chocolate Candy Cane cake!
a real blog entry. Tonight I am determined to finish a gift and Ken has friends to game so I will write and add my advent gifts tomorrow! Night all!
