This “savage lizard” is one of the largest known Jurassic therapods. The Torvosaurus is found in North America and is a rather intimidating carnivore. There is some debate as to whether or not it is actually a dinosaur on its own or a version of another due to the lack of a complete skeleton. An intimidating and fierce dinosaur Emanuel was quick to point out that it looks A LOT like a T Rex!

Torvosaurus

A lightweight lizard from the Jurassic period, the Elaphrosaurus was found in Africa. This carnivore ran on two legs and is a bit of an unknown. Fleet of food but so much lighter than other carnivores it would have been reliant on speed over power to catch and eat its prey. Once again this is a dinosaur picked from the I’m a Dinosaur list…

We found an interesting paleontologist named Dinosaur George who has a question and answer series of videos about various dinosaurs. This is the episode with a question about our dinosaur. Emanuel definitely wants to check out his site to see if he has more items of interest.

Time for our 4th Chinese dinosaur… the Microraptor. This carnivore was rather unique with its 4 winged limbs and its claws made especially for climbing. Not only was this dinosaur at home in the trees but it FLEW! With its full out feathers many have questioned if it is the link to birds! An early Cretaceous period dinosaur it was a predator in the air but in great danger on the ground.
