Diplodocus

And on and on we go with the dinosaurs… The Diplodocus is a popular herbivore found in the Jurassic period in the USA. With an exceptionally long neck and tail there have been skin impressions found that suggest spikes or spines along the back of this massive dinosaur. Many partial skeletons have been found to create the whole image we are familiar with.

And now onto the videos… of course we started with I’m a Dinosaur…

We join Professor Nick on a short all about the Diplodocus…

And finally watch the herd at work with a predator to boot with BBC

Gorgosaurus

We are always excited to find another Alberta dinosaur. This smaller Tyrannosaur was quite the carnivore and while not as large at the T Rex it was quite formidable in the face of the smaller herbivores. The Gorgosaurus was found in the Cretaceous period and had the same large head, sharp teeth, powerful back legs and shortened front arms with claws.

Our video is once again from I’m A Dinosaur. We are coming to the end of their 49 episode series!!

The Week Endeth

June 6-7

Father’s Day has become a wonderful way to get to know more about Ken… asking the questions about his past, his interests and favourites… so much fun! Trinity and Emanuel coloured him a Best Dad Diploma.101_2372

Gavin and Emanuel enjoyed a Dinosaur story together. I absolutely LOVE the picture Emanuel drew for his dinosaur book! That binder is going to be a reference book for us for ages to come!
