Tuesday in Review

My big accomplishment for today – the family gallery is FINALLY up to date. So now I can focus on labelling all my pictures here on my laptop and then move them to cds. The poor laptop is filling up quickly.

I have started making the flowers to make the kids each their own Perler bead bracelet. I found the instructions here. I figure we can put them in a pocket in our Spring and Easter lapbooks. We have a nice selection of colours of beads so I am always on the look out for ways to embellish our work using them. When I have more time I want to sit down and try and make a few new designs for the kids to try out ourselves.

Flowers ready for elastic thread

We had a bit of a fish “miracle” today. When feeding the remaining (or so we thought) little Molly fish out of the 3 Chris and Chris gave us I had to open the top of the tank, while I was doing that Ken added some water to raise the level. I was looking around at the filter when I noticed some movement. The silly black and white spotted Molly was LIVING in the FILTER! Ken took our net and moved it out of there to rejoin its sibling in the tank. Still looking relatively healthy if not as plump as the other fish we now officially have TWO fish again! Go figure!

So tomorrow is my lab test – urine this time… not the WORST test to take but certainly not one I enjoy. I think it is cruel to ask a woman to pee in a cup in the first place, let alone one with a belly in the way. This is one case where men have it EASY! But my OBGYN wants an “official” one done for their records since I am recently moved to their offices (once again). 8:20 in the morning so breakfast for the little ones will be taken in the van – dry cereal, apple slices and probably water bottles since we are completely out of juice boxes. We are going to take advantage of the fact we are out and about and stop off at H&W early for our weekly produce run, stop in at PetSmart to see if we can still get the replacement catfish for our tank and MichaelsĀ  to look for replacement Crayola dry erase markers for Gavin’s board. He left two of them not quite closed and they dried out. Coupon in hand – of course!

The kids all took advantage of the spring weather and spent some time outside, with some beading and tidying and general chaos it was a pretty normal Tuesday!
