Sunshine in the Morning and Rain in the Afternoon

Thursday was a sunny AND rainy day. We managed to take advantage of the sunshine in the morning with a family walk to the gas station. That is Ken and I walked, Trinity rode in style, and the boys biked. The weather was lovely and the walk a nice quiet one.

On our way (Gavin way out there)

When we were about a block away Trinity decided she wanted to help pull the wagon herself, which worked out all right since once we were done in the gas station she was more than willing to hop back in to ride – as that was the stipulation to get her snack (a nuts and bolts mix – no slurpee as we did not want her up all night).

Big enough to pull her own wagon?

Our homeschooling once again centred on our gardening books – lots of colouring of flowers and gardening equipment. The walk took up the majority of our time and wore me out so I was not up for more than that.

I got another page done scrapbooking wise last night – this one our visit to my friend Shandai’s art exhibit (we were best friends in high school). It contains one of my favourite pictures of myself and Trinity from the Minnesota visit as well as an image that combines Shandai herself and a piece of her art.

Today’s hair style – TWO ponytails! A new favourite for Ken!

Very sweet

Karyn is here once again for another night, we spoiled ourselves and headed to the Rice Pad for dinner (mmm lemon-grass beef on vermicelli noodles) and then snacks from 7-11 on our errand for Ken – his nightly Big Gulp refill. Definitely a much needed break for me from kids who were out of necessity inside for the afternoon to avoid the sudden downpour. So tonight is another night of crafting and quiet tv with a friend… bliss.

Even a bit of wildlife!
