Hair Crisis Averted

Well crisis averted – haircuts have been done and we now have THREE presentable little boys! Whew! Though that took a dent out of our afternoon and threw Ken off schedule so not much ELSE got done… but it was necessary – tomorrow we are heading to the Royal Alberta Museum for the Wizard of Oz exhibit and then on Sunday is Sunday School! This means Zander is pretty much forgiven. Though he did have to be reminded today that little boys who cut their siblings’ hair without permission really do NOT want to make waves the day after!!

L-R Zander, Gavin and Emanuel

I have to say this haircut caused Emanuel to age a year in an hour! I absolutely love how they cut his hair. Ken had strict instructions that the twins needed theirs to be buzzed short and the same (their hair is straight anyway and they compare so much I didn’t want to listen to the argument about whose hair is shorter) but Emanuel was just to be made to “look nice.”

So that was around 35.00 or so well spent just on a shorter timeline than we thought we had. At least they are ready for pictures now. Sadly Trinity’s chin is still healing. She managed to get one cleared up only to manage another. I think she is getting in molars but the taking away of the binkies has helped. Poor fair haired, sensitive skinned child!

As I am still cyan free toner wise (grr to the van… that added cost has thrown plans to purchase certain items out the window) I am hunting down elusive black and white posters and such to colour myself and then laminate for seasonal activities. I found a great picture on the UK kids site I love so much of a winter scene I am going to colour, write the word WINTER on and then laminate. This site also has lacing cards and other fun activities that once I DO have the toner I will be making up for Trinity and Emanuel. In the mean time there IS the workbooks we have in the house!

I figure if Echo allows me to, I will work on some scrapbooking this weekend… and of course the stocking will need to be finished. Ken’s birthday party is next weekend so we have some major cleaning and organizing to get done before then. It feels like time is running away from me. I don’t even have my Christmas gift list done yet!! I am trying to keep this year’s very reasonable and yet still give something to those close to us.
