A Monday Most Satisfying

Now I am sure that there was something Labour Day related going on in the city BUT after the previous weekend’s excitement, pageantry and sheer amount of travel the entire family was more than content to hang out around our home. We started out the morning enjoying the sunshine by sending all 4 of the bigger kids out to play before breakfast. Having the playset completely assembled has created a whole new excitement centred around being outside in the backyard!

Last night I did a relatively simple scrapbooking page for Emanuel’s book – I figured that he would enjoy the squirrels and left it at that. I am feeling the urge to craft but not the total inspiration that makes for exciting pages. I am really determined to have a crafting party over here… Solo crafting is all fine and good BUT crafting with friends to bounce ideas off is better!

Poor Ken had to work today… he took some of yesterday off so we could complete our playset and have some together time. That cut out any sort of extra trips about for the family (on top of the lack of urge and the grumpy van). It is always a bit of a let down when we can’t have Daddy free BUT the goal is to go camping next weekend with Cousin Veronika and Adam so it is an easier pill to swallow.

Karyn came over to spend some lively restful time. Well somewhat… we did send all the kids out to play in the sunshine this afternoon – filled the pool, set up the umbrella, turned on the sprinkler. Fun in the sun!

Sean came by on his way home from his parents’ place so it was definitely time for a bbq.

Tonight I hope to finish MY portion of the education plan… tidy and maybe get in some more crafting…

  1. Glad you had a nice relaxing day with the kids outside. How great that they have a swing set.

  2. We had it set up at our old place and meant top do it right away when we moved here but life got so busy… I am so glad it was finally a priority!
