So I am rather sure aliens picked up my kids and replaced them last night with grumpy old men… that is the only answer as to why all of them are acting like nothing ever goes their way and life is 110% UNFAIR! Well, probably not, but it is a better and more humorous one than – they just all are cranky. Which they are! It has been a rather uphill battle all day with schooling, cleaning, playing nicely together… you name it, they simply could not do it.
BUT we did get in some library book time… 2 Hello Kitty, one Dora and two books about the months of the year. And then the boy all drew their favourite month…
Really beyond some workbook time…
It was just best for everyone that the kids head outside and play! Thank goodness they are listening and remembering to put their lid on their sandbox. There is a stray cat running around (we think an escaped pet) and that is all we need – kitty using the sandbox as a LITTER box!
At least Ken had enough time free to do some more work with magnets with the kids… we need to find some sort of sheet or something they can do to put in their files!!! He is really trying hard to spend more time with them whenever possible as they have been asking him to!
I spent my free time laminating the last of our stuff that was waiting and cutting everything out. I will share those tomorrow… Right now I need to get back to tidying and sorting for tomorrow. We have an early morning bank run to do, lapbooks to finish and hopefully a real LACK of bad moods and attitudes!
Everybody is due a bad day once in a while, course it is bad when all of them have it on the same day, YIKES. Don’t know how you do it, I only have one and she tries me every day. Nice pictures the boys drew, and fun outside is really great. Have you done nature studies outside, like collecting leaves and such to make collages??
Yes, we do tend to forget that bad days happen, especially when in the middle of one! LOL and all the kids going south in attitude compounds it! I was certainly glad to end the day and get working on the next! We did things like collecting leaves and such in their prek and k years! This year I think we will do an actual take your sketching paper and go draw stuff next week. I have these mini books I picked up at Staples on super sale and I think maybe they could start one here in the fall and keep it for the year, drawing anything they see in nature!
