Zuniceratops

The kids were rather sure this was a TRIceratops until they realized that it had TWO horns over its eyebrows and not a third. This herbivore was found in the USA during the Cretaceous period and is considered to be one of the earliest horned dinosaurs. A familiar looking but different dinosaur to be sure!

Two videos for this one, I’m a Dinosaur and a part of When Dinosaurs Roamed America.

We really did not have many links about this dinosaur. We took the main picture off of The Dino Directory HERE for our colouring page. Secret of the Horned Dinosaur has a page on this early version HERE. EnchantedLearning has a fact sheet HERE. You can learn more about the Zuniceratops on Dinosaurs.about.com HERE. DinosaurKing covers this herbivore HERE and Wiki has their article HERE.
