What better way to start the weekend then with brunch/late breakfast at a friend’s house? Especially friends we haven’t seen in over a month!! What a reunion for the kids – their Bella is home.

I brought the whole wheat pancake mix I make from scratch and we grabbed a container of syrup on the way. Xinny had sausages and fruit, juice and chocolate chip waffles. Everyone got their fill and then some. I had a great time catching up with Xinny and seeing some of her pictures from their trip to the Disney World over in China. The guys, of course, spent their time huddled around the computer (the GROWN boys that is) and the kids played in the basement quite peacefully!

I am quite proud of myself – I managed to sew on all 4 legs onto Trinity’s dinosaur! Then I pinned the body parts together to be finished off tomorrow. I ran out of time before the boys had to have dinner and use the table! I can’t wait to turn it all right side out and stuff it!

The only other craft related thing I got done in this house today is Christmas cards… the kids chose puzzles and playing downstairs over upstairs school activities but we did pull out the dinosaur puzzle for the now dino obsessed boys. Ken has high hopes on finishing our insects tomorrow but that is rather dependant on how long it takes at the John Walter museum (fingers crossed we make it there!). Why is it it feels like we have nothing to do but end up with too much to finish and no time?

Now the rest of the evening is a gaming night with Chris and Chris – Chez Geek for the win so night all!
