A Spontaneous Playdate

An unexpected play date was the best part of a relatively busy day. The boys had their very best girl over for play and dinner – Isabella. Her mom (Xinny) brought over her little brother Alexander, a nice pizza and a bag of chips. Fun food and friends = the best.

Our second completion day was a success. We finished off our Fall books… just two pieces of coloured paper on the front and taping in the loose worksheets which Ken is going to do tonight. The leaf rubbing sheet on the back was found here. Fall is book, the squirrel number book, the colouring page Emanuel used, leaf counting book, boys’ worksheets are from here, here,  and the maze they used are all found at the links listed.

I made up some more ornaments last night, these out of the Perler beads idea book that came with my tray of beads. The newest pattern – baby Jesus in the manger with a barn.

My big completion is another cross stitch – the Chibi Penguin! I am very happy with the design and cannot wait to announce its posting on our pattern site!

Tonight I plan on more beading and packing for our trip to mom’s. Ken has the guys over for gaming tonight so I am basically on my own. I still have a bunch of baking to take care of so we have treats at my mom’s but with Ken bringing me my missing eggs and sugar I will have plenty of time tonight to make cookies and bread and all. Best part – just enough bananas for one more loaf of banana bread!!!

With the guys ready to play the game I guess that is my signal to get going on MY projects.
