What a Day!

Yesterday Ken went back to the MP to talk to the aide that was assigned to our issue. The aide was surprised to see him since he thought this issue was resolved LAST week – well no money showed up so – NOPE. It was actually rather entertaining – without giving away any information Ken would rather remain private… So Ken gets there after 4pm as the secretary suggested and waits until around 5:30 or later to talk to “our” aide. HE in turn calls the contact at the other government agency and his supervisor with no results. This leads to him calling another supervisor and says – hey I thought we resolved this… the supervisor then checked his reports and records to find out that the original contact’s supervisor had gone through all pending cases and chose ones that looked “odd” and arbitrarily marked them for auditing or NOT paying out. This is not appropriate for our case as Ken has that dr’s note that says PAY OUT… So the result of all this is a correction on Monday (figures we finally get a reason on FRIDAY) with pay out 2 days after… shall we hold our breath ???

Oh and don’t forget the GOOD mail! I got a package from a homeschooling mom – her second as she is cleaning out old craft supplies!! All sorts of fun activities come to mind!

Thank You!!

Today was a definite attempt to get as much “little errands” done as possible. We finally have our hands on some wallet sized photos so I will spend most of tonight (while gaming with friends) writing the names on the back so that on Monday we canĀ  get started on the time consuming and COSTLY process of posting them. FINGERS CROSSED on that one! My Advent package is on its way BACK to us… I am hoping to have it in my hands by Monday so we can ship it out again – this time NOT with the post though.

My plan for today is to just keep trucking through things. The boys are spending the majority of their time lately creating with Legos since the weather is dismally cold. Thank goodness for the basement toy room though I wish the weather would warm up slightly so that the kids could go out for a decent amount of time and play in the snow (when we were in Walmart I noticed sleds so if I can get enough survey cash… or a commission).

Tomorrow the twins are taking part in the church’s Christmas Pageant. Apparently as ANGELS? Go figure! Then the plan is to head over to the nature centre to learn about snowflakes, but if the weather remains so cold we may have to give it a miss and come home and bake cookies insteadĀ  (not sure the boys would be to upset about that!).

Stitching has slowed a wee bit in the wake of cleaning and labelling of pictures but I am still plugging away on the 4 pea-pod piece. I am still getting in a stitch here and there on the Santa piece as well but nothing really different to photograph.

So not a busy day on Friday but we made up for it today in running around. So much to do and the time is really running down!
