Crafting and a Pregnancy Photo

What absolutely amazes me is how even though this week started off rather sour it still zipped right on by! Here we are Friday with Mother’s Day craft tomorrow, Sunday School on Sunday and Mother’s Day to boot. Where did the week go and who let it get so close to mid May??? I have photos to take for a friend before her parents get here, Mother’s Day cards still awaiting delivery (sorry those who will receive late!) and a multitude of “To Do’s” to be done BEFORE June (don’t get me started on the busy month of June).

BUT on the plus side – snow is mostly gone (so far) and the weather shaping up in our favour again. This means more outside play for the kids and one step closer to unveiling the replacement pool and new patio umbrella.

Our focus today was a bit divided… still the 5 senses and apples (Emanuel made a great effort to keep up). AND finish up the last remaining bits of our Fire Station lapbook.

We finished up the little paper firemen…

Read a book about a trip to a fire station…

Storytime (Zander front)

And as an added bonus had some family boardgame time – Emanuel’s Thomas game. Which as usual Emanuel won!

There is still lots to be caught up on but the kids are much more focused. Ken is spending some of the weekend deciding what our next focus will be. I am leaning towards gardening. After all we want to start a small container garden with the boys. Definitely something they can get dirty doing!

I finished the gift for Miss Emma, but will NOT be posting a picture until it is received. Of course I CAN share a picture of my latest scrapbook page – Trinity’s first real trip to the local playground. Which centred around the slide!

Finished in a Tink theme

I am really hoping to get the same feeling of passion in regards to making cards. I just don’t have the imagination focused in that direction yet but I am optimistic. Maybe a few more pep talks from my resident professional – Karyn – and I will have the confidence to strike out into cards. After all I AM going to need to do thank you cards after the baby is born… or before if we do our baby shower in July.

We played around with a photo idea I saw on deviantART. We have to do a bit of colour alteration to get the look I want but here is a sneak peek of OUR version.

Baby Belly!
