Sunday at Home

I made a deal with Ken last night – if I slept in he would get a bunch of the cleaning that has fallen to the wayside done today… so sleep in I did, until almost noon! So we didn’t get much else accomplished in the morning beyond Ken’s cleaning and the kids playing.

We dressed the twins up identically (I know I know BAD parents…but we had a reason) and took some maternity pictures with just our biggest boys. It was actually rather fun, having them be our little models but do they ever need haircuts!! It still surprises me from time to time that my now over 40 lb 6 yr olds were once 3 lbs 1 3/4 oz infants intubated and fed by gavage in isolates. We have come so very far and I am so glad to be beyond that scary first year!

We had a walk down to the gas station as a family today instead of something more complicated or further away like one of the drop in programs. Nathan had to stop by to pick up some baby stuff we had for them anyway so it was easiest to wait for him to come by and then leave for a walk. (nope no baby visit for us yet, just daddy on his own) Not our finest walk with Emanuel not napping today (for some reason he would not settle and just kept playing in his room), Trinity wanting to walk after half way there until she got TO the store then she demanded re-entry into the wagon to ensure the reception of a treat (smart cookie) and my own flagging energy. But it was worth it, snacks, some energy burned and lovely quality time with Ken… in his new shirt of course!

The plan for tomorrow is mainly centred around getting to my appointment on time. I am sincerely hoping I can get some information from my doctor. Well at the very least my glucose results… and the iron… I have a sneaking suspicion that starting now time is going to absolutely fly by. We have chosen our baby shower date (well in advance for the people who need that sort of notice) – July 11th at 3pm, here at the house. We would love for any and all to attend, but if you plan to please let us know so we have numbers. (we are registered at Babies R Us which is linked on the right of this page along with the registry number) I didn’t get a party when pregnant with Trinity or even AFTER she was born so this is exciting and special. Number 5 seems so unreal… so exciting and special and I just want everyone ELSE to be as excited as we are and NOT see our newest addition as simple the FIFTH baby… no this is as exciting as the first two, but hopefully WITHOUT the preemie drama… PLEASE?

Now to get back to work on scrapbooking my last set of photos and ordering the next batch… if I could just get going on the cards as easily…

Let's go Go GO!!!
