Happy 9 Year Anniversary!

Well, as of today Ken and I have been married NINE YEARS! It is hard to believe that 9 yrs ago today we were standing at the front of a church dressed to the nines saying out vows in front of friends and family. Quite the change from today where Ken is unshaven and I am 30+ weeks pregnant. But it has to be true… the twins are now 6 and we have come VERY far from where we began. I have to say that saying yes to Ken was one of my very best and most important decisions.

Today!

In addition to it being our Anniversary I had two POSITIVE experiences today… lets start with the one that is positive according my PERCEPTION… I called  my doctor this morning requesting he call me back, thankfully at the end of the day he did – he was surprised I had failed my glucose test (in fact could not REMEMBER when someone my weight last failed it) and has agreed to a retake. So tomorrow morning I head over to the office to pick up the forms, I already made the appointment with the nearby clinic (the one that did the other) for next Tuesday – in the morning, which does not conflict with my other appointment on the same day – my 3rd ultra sound (to check the placenta) in the afternoon… which leads us to Wednesday and my actual doctor’s appointment. Here’s hoping this time round we clear this up in MY favour! (aka PASS)

Now for the second and much more evident positive… we got to see AND hold our God-daughter Miss Anna.

Anna!

Of course we made sure Uncle Nathan was prepared for the masses (sad how we are basically a MASS by ourselves!)… he had a movie for them to watch AND Ada’s mom had DRAGON FRUIT, and Aunty Ada snuck in some Reece’s Pieces.

Trinity was not too bad about me holding baby, though she wanted to be RIGHT THERE and was quite insistent that she at least be sitting right with me and touching the baby. In fact, she asked to HOLD her too! Hmm maybe once Baby Anna can hold up her own head… maybe?

Letting the girls get to know each other

Ken got in some baby action too… and of course did his usual snuggle the baby to sleep.

All in all it was a good visit. The kids got to give them their card, I got to give Nathan our traditional baby stitch. It was nice to get to see that she was good and mommy was good and that everything was working out.

Babies Suck

So school was once again a bit on the back-burner. Though we talked about little babies, and the boys spent quite a bit of their afternoon out back doing things with chalk – letters, art, creativity. Our zoo trip this week has officially been postponed until NEXT week since we have to drive across the city to get my forms. Thank goodness for flexibility.

So tonight for our anniversary…  well we are resting. I am going to work on a couple cards, Ken probably some WoW… Nothing fancy but that is with good reason – the plan is to go on the rail across Canada for year 10… so this year is definitely low key. But we are together and that is what matters.

Enjoying the Day! (Gavin left)
