What a Weekend

The weekend has come and gone and now we are back to a full week of homeschooling, house cleaning and stitching… yup I am the proud owner of a new pattern… well a portion of it until I finish the toe and heel of the stocking and Ken gives me the rest. A bit more stitching than I expected with two blocks of red to stitch. Still hoping on getting it done in a week!

Saturday was an at home day for us. Ted stayed the night on Friday so the kids were very pleased to have someone else to show their new website to.

Oh and of course there was time for playing outside with the bikes. After all we haven’t seen any more snow (something Ken and I are okay with… the kids… not so much!).

We had a big milestone for Trinity – last night Ken cut up her soothers or binkies and gave them back to her. She cried some but we are doing ok. Although she has been asking about them and sadly saying that hers are broken.

Very serious business - cut up binkies!

Karyn came over late last night after her card making session and stayed the night so that after Ken and the boys got back from Sunday School. She and I headed out to The Mall and spent around 4 hours shopping, snacking and spending time with Echo. I got Echo some little black dress shoes to wear with her Christmas clothes.

Otherwise it has been a relatively quiet weekend. Without the van we still are rather housebound – at least half of us are at any one time. So hopefully the van will be back soon and we can get back to our version of normal. After all I am absolutely DYING to get back to the conservatory and spend some time with the flowers!
