The Unattainable Appointment…

or at least that is how it is starting to feel. I do believe I mentioned in the previous entry that TODAY was the day for Echo’s 6 month immunizations at Public Health (at that point the appointment was TWICE rescheduled… first time the nurse was ill and the second it was so cold Ken did not want to take Echo out). Well this morning Ken got ANOTHER call from the nurses. This time they had to cancel due to having to pick up a series of flu shots for seniors. So Ken calls back MONDAY morning to see when they can squeeze us in. I am annoyed by the fact I spent last night in a bit of a grump due to worrying about her weigh in all for nothing (but then as many people would argue, the worrying in the first place is ALL FOR NOTHING), but it is nice to have this weekend WITHOUT a cranky post immunization baby. Especially since we are looking at quite a busy one.

Today it was Gavin’s turn to work on a teddy bear. I decided to have Ken enlarge the pattern by 150% or so to make a more substantial bear. Gavin chose red felt and we used cream embroidery floss (mainly because it was what I had at my desk… 2 strands). He spent the entire afternoon patiently working on it.

The finish result was absolutely adorable. I can’t say who it is for but he DOES have someone in mind!

All done

All 4 of the older kids made their way outside for a while. The weather is supposed to be beautiful by next week, which we are totally looking forward to!

With Karyn here overnight I am looking forward to an evening of chatting and working on crafting projects. And time spent planning the adventures of Fat Sheep!!!
