Spring Has Sprung FINALLY!

Every second Monday my mom has the day off so today she and her rather aged dog met us at the apartment and we took a nice long walk downtown. We were gone over 2 hours, walking all over downtown, eating an early lunch at Subway, dropping off food for Ken at the office and then stopping off at the dollar store before heading home. It was great exercise. Mom and Rikki walked with the double stroller and I took Emanuel. I had a $10.00 coupon for the dollar store so I picked up the Finding Nemo balloons and punching balloons for the twins’ birthday party in May – there were not many left as well as got some scrapbooking stuff. The kids were really well behaved, Emanuel slept most of the time.
I am surprised though not even an hour after we got home the kids were all in bed, even Emanuel. He has had a rough weekend, we thought his cold was improving and then he got this watery cough. So I called Health Links last night and they want us to take him into the clinic to see if he has some sort of added virus that needs anitbiotics. The walk in starts at 5 so we are dropping the twins off at mom’s and taking Emanuel. Hopefully it is something simple. He is not that sick the cough is just rather rough on him. Poor baby.
Ken’s cousin Ann had her baby this weekend – Dixie Rose – 8.75 lbs, 22 inches long emergency c-section. I can’t wait to see pictures! So after I finish mine and Ken’s Easter eggs and one of the Christmas Precious Moments I have already in the hoop I will put lettering on the one I have premade for a baby and send it off. After that I have to start the one I am going to give Alan’s sister… Christmas gifts are not coming along very quickly when people keep having babies.
Add to all of that trying to go throug all of our stuff to get rid of the stuff we REALLY don’t need, starting to pack and working on finishing little projects that I really to not want to have to restart once we move. Today I have been working on making my secondary copies of my picture cds – I got a cheap little cd case to keep my second set seperate from my master. So much going on and the weather turning nice… you know life is actually feeling more… even.
I am really enjoying using Facebook. Karyn introduced me to it and man has she gotten me good and hooked. She was up this weekend, we had great fun, doing a little shopping, going out for McD’s for breakfast on Sunday. It was so nice to have company. Especially with Ken being a little out of sorts with all the major changes and stuff he is in the middle of. Poor man, he doesn’t want to leave the guys at GWAVA in the lurch and is so excited about going to Computronics. It was so not an easy decision to put his resume in in the first place. We really wanted to stay with the office and Ken really enjoyed working with the guys… sometimes it is hard to do what is best for your family above all else but it must be done.
This week is not overly busy, Ken is looking for a rental for us, I am trying to get sorted out and the kids are ready for summer! Hopefully tonight I will be able to get the twins’ invites made and some packing done. Karyn brought us some boxes when she came to visit – the office she works at just moved. I really do not want to have to scramble to move. Ken did try to take the bottles in this weekend but they were closed so hopefully next Saturday we will get that done too.
What a life… so much change going on and yet so much the same!
