Busy Few Days!

Ok it has been a busy few days! Thursday night we went over to Sharon and Darryls with all the kids and had dinner – a VERY yummy roast, and then hung out until around 10 pm. Sharon let me go through a bin of stamps (she was unsure where the rest were) and lent me her cutting system… I am in love! I went on eBay and got the blades and board and the circle and oval shape sets – all from Creative Memories – I am told they are not going to be selling it much longer – getting in something new – but I like it so am going to get the pieces I can. The stamps I borroed are great fun, I am trying out some of the stuff I was shown at the card party and playing around. I need to go back and go through them again since after trying out stuff I can think of OTHER ways I could use the ones I first didn’t think I could use. It was really a nice visit. The boys had fun too – even the "big" ones.
Friday my mom took the twins so Ken and I did our shopping. Saturday Ken headed off to look at 3 properties in the afternoon (we spent the morning walking around downtown). He found a prefab (mobile home) that is just perfect and in our price range. You don’t own the land but that is ok. So now we are working hard to get the money issues figured out before Ken flies out on THURSDAY ack!!! It is 3 bedroom, 1500 sq feet, 2 bath, walk in closet… two sitting rooms, a nice shed on the property, no fence but they are fixing up the landscaping before we would move in. I guess the owner did more than required when they moved it in – the floor is insulated and very well braced. All in all a terrific first home. Now to keep from getting TOO excited until we have the money sorted – wish us luck!
Today was another morning in the Splash Park, the twins got a little too much sun even with the sunscreen and got a little burnt – course them going to the park in the afternoon with daddy didn’t help much either on that front. Hopefully this will have worn them out enough for a nice long sleep tonight. The splash park was fun though… Sharon and Darryl and their kids met us a little late but it was fun. Next weekend I am not going to be able to get there myself so I am thinking I will have to come up with something else to do. We are spending Sunday evening through to Tuesday sometime at mom’s at least. Will be interesting to see how that goes. I don’t think Emanuel has slept anywhere but home… at least not since he went into his crib permanently. Mom is taking the boys this Wednesday as usual so Ken and I and Emanuel are going to the noodle house, I think Sharon and Darryl are meeting us there and Karyn might even come too! I am really not looking forward to coming up with a second reason to go out each day we are home just the 4 of us. Oh well hopefully this time next year we will have grass – fenced or not.
