Baby #3 Home From His Adventure!

You ever get the feeling that for every ONE thing you accomplish 3 more pop up to say hello? That is how I have felt lately… every time I feel READY for baby or ACCOMPLISHED I turn around and am shocked by the list following in my wake of “to do'” or “not yet accomplished” or “appease this”…

Last night dissolved into an emotional (half hormones, half situational) wreckage which meant I got next to NOTHING done which then flowed right on into today. So a lot of what I had THOUGHT I would accomplish I have not had the energy or interest in doing. I have to admit days (and evenings) like this are a personal frustration on top of the emotions… I HATE being idle and cannot feel good about a day where I do not do what I had previously set out to do. This is definitely a source of argument between myself and Ken who feels that I should sit back more and “relax”… after over 10 years together I have yet to get through to him that for me to relax XYZ needs to be done, either by me or another and that for me relaxing IS sitting with my sewing and still getting something done. But last night I was not in a sewing mood… and this morning in a crying mood so you can imagine how much of anything got done.

This meant a temporary reprieve for the boys with their math… instead they spent their morning downstairs working on Lego creations quite content with the world. Well as content as you can be with your little sister stealing all the Lego Men.

My lower abdominal pain has gotten rather consistent and still no contractions. In all honesty, I WANT the baby to wait until the end of the week but the minor cramping is getting VERY annoying and more than a little painful. 37+ weeks now! BUT I am back into the sewing… my goal – to finish up this commission TONIGHT. Then we shall see how the next project goes. I got some news last night (add to the pregnant woman hormone stress) that has upped the deadline on my nephew Jimmie’s stocking completion…

We did make it to the store!

I am attempting to corral the troops into readiness for September and our very first year of homeschooling as a REGISTERED family (still working on that – the board has to have someone call us still ack!). We have started a calendar on the wall to talk about the days passing and what day of the week it is… I am not sure how much they will take in but at least we are starting a passage of time idea. I managed to get my hands on some dry erase boards that have clocks in them as well! Michaels for the win. I am hoping to work further on time using a clock that is not digital. Once we get our funding it will be a little easier but right not it is sales and freebies as much as possible.

Emanuel made it home today… in one piece, having had a TON of fun… and NOT wanting to be here! As added fun mom and Mike took him to a sports supply store where he got a bird that chirps and each of the siblings (and himself) a flashlight… and then on the way home from my brother’s – they stopped at a little mini zoo. Lucky boy!!! I am glad to have him home even if he would have rather stayed away. I missed my cuddly little boy!

Grandma, Emanuel and an Albino Ostrich!

So our family is back together again, which means TOMORROW will be a bit more… everything… but it is all good! Emanuel even did some work on his workbook with Grandma so I am looking forward to continuing with that. We are doing letters and numbers… very basic but this is our first go through with him. I am trying out the workbook idea and then if it does work for him, going out and finding another series with different activities for the same concepts and doing a second run through. It is exciting to have him interested at age 4!

BUT here it is late again and I am stitching like a mad thing… so off I go!!

Sometimes life is tospy turvy!
